REV saddle with saddle flaps
The REV saddle was developed specifically to provide long-term relief for heavily used horse backs. It is ideal for riders who want to protect their horse’s back sustainably and is equally suitable for horses with anatomically demanding back shapes. Thanks to its unique saddle tree, the REV offers maximum independence, as it does not require regular adjustments by a saddle fitter.
The innovative saddle tree ensures exceptional comfort for both horse and rider. The rider’s seat is separated from the anatomically shaped bearing surface on the horse’s back by a U-shaped construction. This creates a shock-absorbing, spring-like effect that cushions movement, relieves the rider, and protects the horse’s back over the long term. Despite the two-level design, the rider remains close to the horse, allowing precise and familiar aids at all times. Two different stirrup bar positions further enable an optimal leg position for various disciplines.
From a technical perspective, the REV is defined by its patented and award-winning saddle tree developed by Martin Ryan. Its purpose is to distribute the forces generated while riding evenly across a large contact area on the horse’s back. Unlike traditional saddle trees, the REV features a continuous weight-bearing surface from front to back, making it suitable for a wide range of horse backs. Flexible rear panels additionally provide maximum freedom of movement. When the rider sits in the saddle, the gullet opens slightly, relieving pressure in the shoulder area and allowing the shoulder to move freely. In addition, the saddle flaps can be exchanged easily in just a few steps using a special push-button mechanism.
The REV saddle by Martin Ryan also stands out visually with its futuristic, sporty design, deliberately breaking away from the classic appearance of traditional saddles. Its innovative construction and modern material processing make it a true eye-catcher. The saddle tree, made from a special glass-fiber thermoplastic, not only creates this distinctive look but also results in exceptionally low weight.
With Stübben Custom-Made and Stübben Styles, the REV saddle offers almost unlimited options for individual customization. Configure your personal saddle entirely according to your preferences.
Like all Stübben saddles, the REV saddle is handcrafted in our manufactory in Kempen, Germany.
The REV saddle tree is manufactured in a complex, multi-stage process that requires a significant investment of time. This demanding production is essential to the saddle’s performance and defines it as a premium product.
